May 16 / Grand Prix part 1 – Bob Gibbons

Stars Fam! First off, we hope you all had a great Mother’s Day and enjoyed spending some time with your family! We had a BIG weekend this past weekend for our club with both our Basketball and Volleyball programs in action!

Volleyball

RING SEASON!!! The Grand Prix was in town, and we helped host 194 teams in total and had 26 Stars teams in action!

Congrats to our 4 champions! Our seniors on 18 KK finished their Star’s careers on top as well as 12 Candi, 16 Helle, and 16 Amy bringing Rings home as well! Our other top finishes include 15 Tinsley, 15 Elrod, and 16 Patrick winning the Silver Championship. 15 Bing also won the Bronze Championship!

Basketball

Congrats to our 16u Upward Stars 3SSB guys for winning the Championship at Bob Gibbons down in GA. One of the largest independent tournaments! This is the 3rd time one of our 16u teams have brought back a trophy from this event!

We also have 3 Stars Alumni participating in the NBA Draft Combine! PJ Hall, Dillon Brooks, and Julian Phillips all will be taking the court with hopes to getting their name called in the 2023 draft! PJ and Dillon earned their invites to the combine after great showings during the G-League Elite Camp.
